Vision boards
Have you ever set your students a research task to present to you later, only to find that they just read from a presentation? To avoid this, use a vision board.
Creating a vision board is an engaging way for students to visually represent their research. Begin by explaining the purpose of the activity and how it can enhance their understanding of a theory. Assign students the task of collecting images that reflect key concepts or ideas from their research. They can choose to create their boards electronically or physically on a piece of plywood. They have to select a series of pictures and to be prepared to explain the significance of each image during their presentation. This process not only reinforces their learning but also aids in securing the information in their long-term memory.
